🏆 We are the champions!
A fantastic achievement for our Year 8 and 9 footballers, who recently competed in a tournament at Chelsea FC’s Cobham Training Ground.
Our boys’ team fought off strong competition to lift the trophy, while our girls’ team also impressed with an excellent third-place finish. It was a brilliant opportunity for our students to represent Excelsior, test themselves against other schools and experience playing at such a high-quality training ground.
As one of our students put it, the best thing about playing football at Excelsior is getting the opportunity to take part in tournaments like this.
And the opportunities keep coming, with one of our Year 9 students heading for a trial with Luton next week. ⚽
Away from the pitch, our students are also developing new skills and confidence through activities such as Chess Club, where lunchtime and after-school sessions are helping students learn, compete and make new friends.
We’re incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and ambition our students continue to show. Well done, everyone!
