Celebrating Black History Month.🖤🤍🤎 Lots of our students ask… Why do we celebrate black history month? The answer is… because both black and white history go hand in hand.
However, the positive stories and successes of one side is often over represented while the ‘other’ is often under-represented. 🇬🇧🌸🌼

Did you know the incredible artist Stormzy (Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr.) is also a huge advocate for education and a symbol of student success?

From achieving brilliant GCSE results (six A*s, three As, five Bs) and completing an apprenticeship, Stormzy went on to make history by headlining Glastonbury Festival in 2019.

His dedication to change is truly inspiring:

The Stormzy Scholarship: Launched in 2018, it funds Black UK students to attend Cambridge University. As of August 2025, he has supported 56 students!

Honourary Doctorate: He received a Doctorate in Law from Cambridge in recognition of his powerful scholarship programme.

As he said, "It's so important for black students, especially, to be aware that it can 100% be an option to attend a University of this calibre."
