Dear Parents/Carers

As we approach the end of Ramadan, we are aware that Eid ul Fitr will fall on Friday the 20th March. We wanted to share our plans for the day with you. We are planning to ask year 10, 12 and 13 to remain at home as we will have a number of staff celebrating Eid. We will be open for year 7,8,9 and 11. We will start the day at 8.37am as usual, but will finish at 1.30pm. The canteen will be open first break for all students.

If you are celebrating Eid, there is no need to report your child’s absence. However if your child is off for anything else, please use the normal procedure.

World Book Day 2026 was an absolutely magical celebration of stories, creativity, and imagination across our school community!

It was a day full of fun, imagination, and shared joy—and a brilliant reminder of the power of books to bring us together. We can’t wait for next year’s celebration

Year 10 and 11 BTEC dance students watched Matthew Bournes The Red Shoe Students enjoyed the show and were lucky enough to meet Matthew Bourne!!

Both events run from 3.30-6.30pm and are held at Greatfields School. To sign up for appointments, use the MCAS (My Child at School) app. If you do not have the app, please download it and contact the school office if you do not have a passcode to log in.

Our last day of the term is Wednesday 17th December.

On Wednesday 17th December all students will finish at 11.00am. Students may choose to leave at 11.00am or stay for lunch which will be served until 11.30am.

All Year 7 and 8 students will be completing tracking assessments during the period across 17th - 28th November 2025. These assessments will be taking place within all subjects. To support your child, please encourage them to study and revise, but to also seek guidance from their class teachers, if they need advice or resources.
