You'll gain hands-on experience across the College gardens, learning from experienced gardeners and developing skills including:

🌱 Raising seeds, cuttings and bulbs
🌸 Caring for herbaceous borders
🌳 Pruning trees and shrubs
🌿 Hedge clipping and lawn edging
🛠️ Using mowers, machinery and hand tools
🏡 Greenhouse work and garden maintenance

You'll also get 20% off-site learning, with opportunities to visit other training locations and Cambridge University College gardens.

KEITS have space for the below two units - dates: 1st, 2nd & 3rd September 26

PA1 - This course is suitable for those working in forestry, agriculture, horticulture or greenkeeping. It is based round the National Proficiency Test Council PA1 (Foundation) Test and is designed to help people to successfully prepare for their tests.

PA6 - This course is suitable for those working in forestry, agriculture, horticulture or greenkeeping where spraying pesticide is required. It is based around the National Proficiency Test Council PA6 (Hand Held Applicators) Test and is designed to help people to successfully prepare for their tests.

Location: Highfields Park, St Albans.
