We are a termly based preschool in Clapham & Wimbledon, South West London for children aged 2-5 years old, visit With holiday clubs during term breaks.

We have now changed into a termly based preschool for children aged 2 – 5 years. The nursery school operates a 5 morning a week programme which are three and quarter hours long

(8:30am – 12:15pm), as well as lunch club, afternoon sessions and pick ups from local nursery schools. At The Butterfly Preschool our aim is to engage children's ability to learn in a fun and stimulating environment. We fo

llow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum along with a forest school approach of doing lots of learning outdoors, what ever the weather! The curriculum is carefully designed to make sure every child has the ability to learn in an environment that makes them unique. All our children aim to reach their early learning goals by the time they leave us. With fully qualified teachers and Early Years Practitioners, in a small and homely environment we aim to create a home from home nursery. We still offer crèche for children of any age in the afternoon but have limited spaces so these need to be booked in advance.

🌱 Little minds grow fast with around 90% of a child’s brain development completed by the age of five. These early years matter which is why it’s so important to make sure a child has high quality education from the start, so they’re set up for life. 🧑‍🏫

Our aim is for all children to leave us having achieved all their early-learning goals and to have developed into well rounded individuals, enabling them to integrate into school life and thrive in the future. 💫🦋

Our children held the sweetest charity bake sale this week, raising money for BBC Children in Need and what a success it was! 💛🍰🧁🍪

Despite the wet weather, the smiles were bright and the treats were delicious. We are so proud of our little bakers and helpers! 👩‍🍳✨

A huge thank you to all the parents who baked, donated, and supported this wonderful cause. Your kindness will make such a difference.

We're proud to nurture young minds using the core Montessori principles:

🪔 Celebrating Diwali 🪔

We had a wonderful time celebrating the Festival of Light with the children. We dressed in traditional Indian clothes, made paper plate diyas, and read Diwali stories. Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us and share their festival with the children. We hope everyone who celebrated Diwali had a happy and peaceful time with their loved ones. 🎆
