We heavily underestimate the emotional labour of working in hospitality, and the part that emotional dysregulation plays in terms of energy levels, ability to recover and process the challenges of work and life. Thanks for featuring this topic that I love raving about! Check it out the current issue 😊

Last month, I teamed up with for a short documentary that explores emotional intelligence, connection, and human behaviour through the lens of the hospitality industry.
We examine three distinct venues - a Michelin-starred restaurant, a high-end London cocktail bar, and a traditional Irish pub - to explore the human side of service.

And the common threads that these venues have in common, threads that make us love hospitality, and what it is to be human. Stay tuned! 🎬
A shout out to .creative Audrey Nicole Kurniawan from .creative , they were such a pleasure to work with. And a huge thanks to for having me on board for this!

Have you ever popped your cork? Thank you to everyone who came and danced with me to Fred Again on Monday ... as well as listened to me explain the profound connection between our physical body, movement and our emotions at the X event: Brewing Strength for Mental Health Awareness week.
From personal experience, movement has positively altered the trajectory of my outlook and emotions on numerous occasions, and I have no doubt it can do the same for you and your teams.
It was wonderful to meet , who delivered a humbling keynote on grief and how food can be part of the healing journey, as well as connecting with ourselves and those we have lost.
And Arron Smallman from Let’s Push Things Forward , who gave a fantastic session on supporting others through addiction recovery. Aaron shared so many underrated truths on this topic, such as walking beside someone on their journey, rather than blaming and shaming.
It’s been amazing to connect in person with over the last couple of weeks and also see my dear friends over at : Thank you doing what you do for our industry and in honour of Kelly. 💚

The theme for this year’s is ‘COMMUNITY’ :
To highlight the importance of a safe and supportive community for mental wellbeing.
Harassment in hospitality is so interlinked to this theme and the impact of any type of harassment has on mental health and wellbeing is profound. Both women and men, many of us have been harassed. It starts with all of us standing up for the victims of harassment. If you see someone being harassed in your venue today, then speak up and break the societal silence and permission to harass.
