A good workout starts with a good warm-up.

For , one of his favourite ways to prepare for training is with Power Plate. By combining dynamic movement with whole body vibration, he can activate key muscle groups, increase circulation and get his body ready to perform before the first lift or sprint.

A well-structured warm-up isn't just about reducing injury risk. It helps improve movement quality, enhance muscle activation and prepare both the body and mind for the session ahead.

Circulation plays an important role in how your body moves, recovers and responds to pain.

Healthy blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues while helping remove metabolic waste. When circulation is reduced, recovery can slow, stiffness may increase and discomfort can become more noticeable.

In this video, Hayley at Pivotal explores why circulation matters, how it influences movement and recovery, and practical ways to support it.

Power Plate has been shown to increase peripheral blood flow, making it a valuable addition to rehabilitation, recovery and pain management programmes.

Supporting circulation means supporting better movement, both now and in the long term.

Pelvic floor health isn't just about the pelvic floor.

It relies on a network of muscles working together, including your deep core, diaphragm and other key stabilisers that support posture, balance and everyday movement.

In this video, Caroline Pearce demonstrates a series of exercises designed to strengthen these interconnected muscle groups using Power Plate. By increasing neuromuscular activation, the platform encourages greater engagement of the muscles responsible for stability and control throughout each movement.

Whether your goal is improving movement quality, building strength or supporting long-term musculoskeletal health, developing a strong foundation can have benefits that extend well beyond your workouts.

Power Plate and Screen My Bones Launch UK bone health partnership with David Lloyd 11/08/2026

Power Plate has partnered with Screen My Bones to create a new UK “screen-to-solution” bone health pathway, with David Lloyd Clubs among the first operators to pilot the approach.

The partnership combines bone density screening, whole-body vibration technology and osteogenic loading to support earlier identification of bone health risks and provide targeted interventions.

Assessing bone mineral density and quality

Screen My Bones uses radiation-free REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) technology to assess bone mineral density and bone quality. The service does not require a GP referral and is designed to make preventative screening more accessible.

“It’s about meeting people where they are – whether that be at home, in gyms, hotels, workplaces, within hospitals or extending to professional sports – we believe better bone health care is possible,” explains Iain Murray, Managing Director at Power Plate UK.

“With an estimated 200 million people living with osteoporosis globally – most without knowing it – there is a huge opportunity to help make a positive impact by creating better pathways for early intervention and proactive solutions.”

Supporting the NHS through prevention and long-term health

The initiative comes as bone fragility and fractures are estimated to cost the NHS £4.4 billion each year. Power Plate says the new model is intended to encourage a shift from reactive treatment towards earlier screening, prevention, and long-term musculoskeletal health.

David Lloyd Clubs is now piloting Screen My Bones screening days at selected locations. The health club operator already uses Power Plate whole-body vibration technology and has developed a skeletal health training module to help its personal trainers understand vibration training and its potential applications.

“We share the same vision as Power Plate,” adds Michelle Dand, Head of Product & Programming at David Lloyd. “To improve bone health care and accessibility where too often issues are not picked up through traditional routes.”

The wider pathway also includes bioDensity, Power Plate’s sister technology. The low-impact strength system uses brief osteogenic loading sessions designed to stimulate the body’s natural bone-building response while supporting strength and functional performance.

bioDensity is currently available at more than 10 UK locations, with Power Plate expecting the combined screening and intervention model to expand further.
