𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱?
All the awards I have ever won have been academic; the one I’m most proud of is probably my PhD in philosophy.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘆?
My favourite toys were action figurines, like Teenage mutant ninja turtles or the toxic avengers figurines. I never watched the television shows but the characters were enough to stimulate my imagination.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿?
I grew up in Spain, my favourite crisps are ones they don't have here, made of corn, called Fritos; they were a smoky meaty flavour.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻?
My passport.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝟯 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆?
There are people I find fascinating but too frightening to invite to a dinner party, like Nietzsche and Wittgenstein. I would instead invite three people that I idolise but are also very kind: Knausgaard, my favourite writer, who I met once but didn't have the courage to befriend; Slavoj Zizek who never stops talking and so might ruin the conversation, and Elena Ferrante, whose real identity is a mystery and so might prefer not to come.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹?
I don’t really have a role model, but I am often inspired by the real life stories of philosophers; I recently read that Hegel was a private tutor and school teacher and only published his masterpiece in his 40s. He only got a university appointment when he was 47.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀?
Acting. It reminds me of playing when I was a child. It is liberating to play someone other than myself for a while.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱?
I always return to Joy Division.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?
Immortality.

I like jigsaw puzzles, but I find they are a huge waste of time: when I start I need to finish. I am the same with all puzzles.
