The China Cultural Carnival at the Edinburgh Festival brought all the vibes! We had vibrant Chinese dance performances and a cool showcase of traditional crafts 🪭

We showcased popular Chinese cultural items like lacquer fans, bags, bracelets, and incense tablets. Guests got hands-on and felt the magic of Chinese heritage ✨

The Edinburgh Festival and 4th Chinese Culture Carnival has come to a successful close! 🎉 A heartfelt thank you to all the media who supported this event, as well as every performer and hardworking staff member. It was through everyone's efforts that this event became not only a stunning visual feast but also an important cultural exchange. 👏

Chinese dance captivated international audiences in the streets of Edinburgh, proudly showcasing the beauty of traditional Chinese culture and our cultural confidence. The enthusiasm from overseas audiences has reinforced our passion for sharing Chinese culture globally. 💃

It's an honour to be invited to Oxford University's Chinese Dance Showcase. 💐

Our team choreographed and presented a newly adapted version of 'Elegance'. This adaptation beautifully blends elements of Chinese fan dance, long silk dance, and silk fan dance, making the performance even more captivating. 💯

A huge thank you to Oxford University for providing this valuable platform to share the charm of Chinese dance. And heartfelt thanks to all the performers—your dedication made the show truly enchanting. 💞

China Performing Arts (UKCPA) is a professional Chinese dance education institution which emphasises on the principles of professional, pure and enjoyable dancing with the main vision to spread Chinese Arts and Culture here in the UK. Through facilitating education on Professional Chinese Classical/Folk dance, UKCPA creates a bridge between cultures by conveying the colourful culture of China to people in the UK, and providing a professional learning environment for any children and adults who love dancing.

Our students learn traditional Chinese dance like Ribbon dance, “A Silk Road” (Flying Apsaras), Long Sleeves Dance, “Ta Ge”, Fan Dance, Drum Dance etc. Our students have participated in various events such as the Chinese New Year Celebration of Europe, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, London Footprint Festival etc. We also create contemporary dance works with Chinese elements.
