The LL.B degree is offered under four schemes of examination and students must elect at the time of registration which scheme they wish to follow. Scheme A is a three year course (standard route) and Scheme B is done over four years. Students study the same number of subjects except that in Scheme B they are spread over a longer period. There are also two graduate routes for those who hold a degree in another subject. Graduate Entry Routes A and B comprise a two and three year course respectively.

In order to satisfy the entrance requirements for the Bachelor of Laws you must:
be over 18 years old
Hold either two subjects at GCE ‘A’ level or at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE 'O' level not less than Grade C.
or three subjects at GCE 'A' level (with one 'A' level at not less than Grade D)
or three subjects at GCE 'A' level and one further subject at GCSE/GCE 'O' level at Grade C or above
or two subjects at GCE 'A' level, plus two further subjects at GCE 'AS' level
Provide proof of competence in English which is acceptable to the University. A test of proficiency may be required provided it has been awarded within the past three years.

Paralegal Studies
The Higher Diploma in Paralegal Studies course is for those who wish to perform legal work through education and training. Qualified Paralegals look after their own clients and cases to a minimum of supervision but their work role is similar to that of a solicitor. Their duties include taking clients to the courtroom, client conferences, and working within commerce industry or the public sector. Some paralegals also represent their client before a District Judge or Tribunal. Paralegal skills can be valuable to the government departments, local authorities, courts, probation service and the police.

Career Path
The National Association of Licensed Paralegals provides levels of qualification for Paralegals. Its main level of qualification is the "Associate Qualification" which is examination-based and provides a foundation in Law and Procedure. Other levels are "Fellowship" and "Graduate membership". The Association's qualifications are nationally recognised by solicitors and other organisations.

For those who take the examination route there are two Examinations for the Associate Membership Qualification; General Principles of Law & Procedural Law – each lasting three hours.

Examinations are held twice a year: June and November.

The Student member must undertake an approval course of Study. The London School of Law is accredited by the National Association of Licensed Paralegals.

Since its foundation in 1991, the London School of Law has evolved into a centre of learning for a range of law courses. More recently, the School has diversified into other subject areas namely Business Management and Health and Social Care.

The School's student population is fairly cosmopolitan with a mix of students both from the UK and overseas. Most of the students later start their career either practising as solicitors, undertaking a variety of legal work as they embrace the legal profession or become professional managers in industry and commerce.

The School serves the needs of the students throughout the duration of their respective courses of study. It also provides them with any support they may require or request as far as reasonably practicable. Educational visits to the courts, etc are organized with a view to equipping students with a sense of the real and a feel for the practical thereby reinforcing and enhancing their knowledge of theories and concepts.

The School operates from its prestigious location in Central London with easy access by public transport.
