Deanne trained as a professional dancer from the day she could stand up on her own two feet & slipped them into a pair of ballet shoes; specializing in ballet, jazz & contemporary until aged 19 when she unfortunately had a car accident that left her with a neck & lower back injury. ☀️ 8-AT-8 ☀️
Will you join us for a month of 8 SUN SALUTATIONS at 8am or 8pm (or any other time in your day to be honest, if you can) each & every single day of the month of February?

We will be sharing some mornings from our homes at 8am on insta live. Some mornings we’ll take our 8 together from the studio, some mornings we’ll have dogs & children with us, some mornings we’ll take our rounds on the beach, some days we’ll practice on the roof of & some mornings we’ll be joined by guests on our split screen insta...will you join us?

The simple sun salutation is exactly that - quite simple to practice as a round on your mat but the benefits of this ancient Indian practice are plentiful., especially when fully committed to as a regular daily ritual.
• Awakens the body from sleep.
• Creating space in mind & body.
• Improved focus with the connection to the breath.
• Increased energy levels, blood flow & endorphins.
• Improvement to digestive & gut health.
• Improvement in emotional stability & everyday mood.
• Lengthens the spine & benefits shoulder health.
• Bringing in a sense of peace, compassion & gratitude.

Everyone can practice these rounds (8 is a guide but as many as you feel comfortable with practicing - maybe you build during the month?)...can we make these inclusive? All of the family? Can you feel included, by knowing you’re practicing with others? This is a practice for everyone, everywhere.

We will offer guidance, structure & support. Breaking down the various ways of transitioning to suit your body, your yoga journey & your health conditions.

We’d love to unite through yoga as we continue through lockdown in the depths of winter.

We’ll launch tomorrow at 8am UK time on insta live.

We invite you to write down how you’re feeling right now - mentally, physically, spiritually & emotionally.

Keep taking deep breaths, keep finding your space & trust the process...for this is all a process. A process of survival, the process of life.

These times are hard & we’re all at different places along this rollercoaster ride called life ~ some days can feel great & the next overwhelming for no other reason apart from ‘life’.

Life right now isn’t about the overblown gestures, the grand designs, the bold statements & the big life changing plans...its is about finding the magic in the small undulations that bob along in this drifting river...learning to manage the low moments with things that can pick you back up from beneath the waters surface & make you feel present & alive again.

A few moments of fresh air, a long walk, the appreciation of the birds in the sky, the sun rising & falling in that same vast expanse. The connections with friends. Being that person that picks up the phone or sends that message to someone you know would appreciate that reach out. Rolling out your mat & taking time for yourself, even if it’s for the 8 minutes you have in that day. Taking a few deep breaths to shift that perspective.

We are all in this together & some days will feel different than others.

SATURDAY MORNING YOGA.

Please note my darlings that this morning will be my final online Saturday morning session. I want to thank each & every one of you who have joined me for the past 4 months, pretty much every Saturday during lockdown. You’ve helped me navigate my way through these strange times & I hope I’ve helped steer you through the fog with me.
I’m bowing out to spend my weekends with the family & looking forward to creating magic for Willow & doing activities that blow his tiny mind!
I’ll be focussing my energy on classes down here in Brighton & Hove IRL, on planning retreats & events with small groups of people.

I’ll also be hosting the 1 session with ’s online sanctuary each Monday morning & would love for you to join me. As well as offering 1:1 sessions through that portal & in my new home studio - so get in touch if you’d like to come to my home to deepen your practice with me in my garden! I’m here for you.

Myself & will be adding more content to our Wellness Works & launching another month of retreating from your homes in September, with plans for an actual retreat with hopefully early next year (stay tuned for more info).

I’m also working on another project with Brighton launching next month - so scope to come practice with me there. Again, watch this space..

I’ve loved connecting & re-connecting with you all but I feel it’s coming to a natural end. I’d love to hear your feedback & appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Ahhhhh wonderful memories ~ 3 years ago, hosting our first day retreat .me. A delicious group of like minded souls, breath, movement, meditation, healing, shifting, releasing & sharing each other’s energy. Great food, the most perfect space.
