One of the phrasal verbs that you should learn is GET AWAY WITH. This phrasal verb means to do something wrong or illegal without being punished or caught. Why learn it?

In the IELTS Speaking test, now one of the cue card topics is about a law you want to introduce in your country (IELTS Speaking Assistant app, part 2, topic 48).
💬 To make your answer more detailed, you might want to say something like, 'I want to introduce this law because people do this* (*something that you don't approve of) just because they know they won’t be punished.'

💬 Using the phrasal verb 'get away with' can help you achieve a higher score by showing that you can use phrasal verbs effectively to express complex ideas. So you might say, 'The thing is people do this just because they know they can get away with it.

Want a Band 7 in IELTS Reading? 🚫 Here’s what NOT to do: Don’t get stuck on tricky paragraphs when matching headings!

💡 Instead, follow this smart strategy: read the first paragraph, go over the list of headings, and find the right one. Then move on to the second paragraph and do the same. If a paragraph is hard to match, skip it and move on.

❌ If you get stuck on a hard paragraph, you’ll waste all your time and never answer enough questions to get a Band 7. Match the easier ones first, and by the end, you’ll have a small number of headings (like 2 or 3) to choose from. That makes it much easier to find the right match.
