Year 10 really enjoyed their trip to the Dominion Theatre, where they saw GCSE Science Live! They had the chance to see and hear five of Britain’s top scientists, all working at the cutting edge of their specialisms, and even hear from an experienced science examiner (who gave them top tips for their exams!).
This week, Y7-9 took part in an exciting workshop with One Day Film School. They got the opportunity to plan, film, and edit their own short films, which were premiered in our own NWC Film Festival in the afternoon!
Students worked collaboratively across the year groups, and learnt about Film History, Fight Choreography, Screenwriting, Camera and Editing.
“And the Oscar goes to…” Congratulations to the two winning groups, whose short films won them an Oscar!

For , reading was the focus of the day. We had some fantastic collaboration across the year groups, with Y6 and Y3 sharing some quiet reading time, and even our Head, Mrs Brown, and our Head of Juniors, Mrs Halliday, got the chance to read some stories to pupils!
What a joyful sight it was to see the entire Junior School taking part in yesterday. Such creativity and resourcefulness were shown in everyone’s costumes!
