A trip down memory lane…

From Tasmania, Portugal, Newcastle, Shropshire, Somerset and Hampshire, the Class of 1976 came from far and wide to celebrate 50 years since leaving Wimbledon High!

What a wonderful occasion it was, full of laughter and memories about school days and a chance to celebrate lifelong friendships formed at Wimbledon High.

A particular highlight was ctching up with two of the yeargroups’ former teachers – Miss Krzysztoporska and Miss Horton - a tour of the school and looking through class photographs, school letters, magazines and treasured memorabilia - and of course lunch and cake!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the reunion such a memorable occasion. We look forward to welcoming many more alumnae back to Wimbledon High in the future.

Speech Day is always one of the most inspiring moments of the Wimbledon High School calendar, a celebration of achievement, creativity, and community.

From powerful spoken-word poetry and award-winning essays to exceptional musical performances, our students showcased the talent, confidence, and passion that define our school. It was also a special opportunity to recognise the accomplishments of students across every year group and to celebrate the invaluable role of Student Voice.

As our guest speaker, we were delighted to welcome alumna Professor Sarah Sharples, ergonomist and vice-president and dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester. Her thoughtful reflections on future careers, resilience, and embracing new opportunities offered invaluable inspiration for our students as they look ahead. And special guest and former Physics teacher Mr Yee who taught Sarah at WHS.

To our departing Year 13 students, we wish you every success in the exciting journey ahead. You will always be part of the Wimbledon High School community. Congratulations to all our award winners, performers, and everyone who helped make Speech Day such a memorable celebration. 💙

Serving on one of the biggest stages in tennis 🎾

This summer, 10 of our Year 9 and Year 10 pupils are proudly representing Wimbledon High School as Ball Girls at the prestigious The Championships, Wimbledon.

Following months of dedicated training, they have earned the opportunity to be part of one of the world’s most iconic sporting events. Their selection reflects not only their agility and focus, but also their teamwork, resilience and professionalism under pressure.

We are incredibly proud of each of them and look forward to following their journey throughout the Championships. Best of luck to all 10 students– we know you’ll do Wimbledon High proud!

Our Rowing Annual Dinner was a fantastic evening celebrating the hard work, achievements, and team spirit of WHSBC this season. It was wonderful to see rowers, parents, and coaches come together to reflect on an incredible year of racing and the unveiling of the newly named boat in honour of our captain Imogen.

From hearing for some WHSBC alumnae to the awards and disco, it was a lovely evening for the community. Thank you to everyone who contributed and made the evening such a success!

Our amazing Year 8 and Year 9 students lit up the stage with an unforgettable performance of Crazy for You

Filled with spectacular singing, energetic dancing, brilliant comedy and plenty of Broadway magic, the production was a true celebration of the incredible talent, confidence and teamwork within our school.

A huge congratulations to every member of the cast, musicians, backstage crew and staff who made this production possible. You should all be so proud.

Good luck to WHS alumna Hannah Klugman at Wimbledon Championships today!

From No 1 in the junior rankings, to turning pro in January. 17 year old Hannah is set to play Wimbledon 2024 Champion Barbora Krejcikova today.

We will all be cheering you on from Mansel Road!

Buckets of rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of this year’s Senior Sports Day.

From the first race to the final relay, students showed incredible determination, teamwork and house spirit, cheering each other on through every downpour and proving that a little rain is no match for the Wimbledon High community.

Congratulations to Team Hastings for taking home this year’s Sports Day trophy! 🎉

A huge thank you to all our students, staff and House Captains for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to the day. It was a celebration of resilience, camaraderie and the joy of sport.

The impact of this work can be seen in our 2025 student feedback:
📊 99% of Sixth Form students and 93% of students in Years 7–11 now report learning about diverse backgrounds and perspectives through their education.
