✏️ Day 9: Tutor Hack
One of my favourite tricks?
I make a “mistake” on purpose. 🤭
Whether it’s an incorrect calculation or a sneaky grammar slip, children love catching me out — and it gets them thinking far harder than if I’d just asked a question. 🤔
They feel confident, I get to check their understanding, and it’s a great way to model that we ALL make mistakes and we can use them to LEARN.
Win–win. ✅
😜Disclaimer: I actually do make real accidental mistakes with my students — because that’s life, and that’s OK.

Day 5: Why I tutor 🌍
I started tutoring online for one simple reason: flexibility. I was splitting my time between UAE and Ireland, trying to be near my parents as much as I could — and a school timetable made that impossible.
Thankfully, tutoring gave me that freedom. 🙏 What I didn't expect was how much more room it gave me to teach the way I always wanted to — being able to slow down, take a child's lead, and properly adapt to how they learn instead of racing through a curriculum. 👩🏫

August Photo Challenge – Day 4: Favourite Resource 📚
I bang on about Blooket so much, I really should be on commission. 😂
It is such an amazing resource. It is not just fun and engaging, it also helps children remember what they have learnt by repeating questions, showing the correct answer when they get one wrong, giving instant feedback, and keeping them focused through game play.
Blooket is one of my favourite tools.
