Little Skippers Nursery

A jolly big thank you to all you wonderful folk for joining in on this year’s Christmas jumper festivities! The little ones looked absolutely fabulous in their festive knitwear.

November Recap: Odd Socks Day at Little Skippers Nursery focused on embracing and celebrating individuality during Anti-Bullying Week. The children were encouraged to wear their favourite mismatched socks, promoting the idea that differences should be celebrated. The Turtle Room excelled in this initiative, as every child arrived at nursery sporting their odd socks. We managed to capture this brilliant photo! 🧦😁

Our pre schoolers have been having a fantastic time lately!
Each week coach Malik from has been leading PE sessions. Guiding us through enjoyable activities designed to enhance their motor skills and keep our Little Skippers active! 😊 We have captured some wonderful moments from these sessions.

**October Recap:** During Black History Month, we had the opportunity to celebrate the significant contributions of Black and Mixed Heritage individuals to society, both historically and in contemporary times.
This year's theme was encapsulated in the slogan "ONE LOVE!" We commenced the month with our International Day and concluded it by showcasing beautiful artwork that represented our inclusive nursery community.

We have introduced smoothie making as part of our morning snack time.
We thought it would be brilliant to engage pre-schoolers in the process.

They enjoyed gathering, counting and adding ingredients to the blender. We observed the smell, texture as well as mixing of the colours.

It was a fun and educational activity that encouraged exploration in their healthy snack preparation.

We are going Pu-pu-pu-pumpkin crazy across all the rooms the children have been enjoying creativity activity from playdoh pumpkin making as well as pumpkin carving.🎃🎃🎃🎃

International day was a resounding success! We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and staff members for bringing delicious dishes and for dressing in their cultural attire. Together, we truly celebrated all cultures and showcased the rich diversity of our nursery.

Our Jeans for Genes was a success!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to our Little Skippers and staff for wearing your jeans and making a generous donation.
You all looked fantastic!

Jeans for Genes Day campaign raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with a genetic condition.
As for our Little Skippers this was a perfect opportunity to shine a light on how our genes make us beautiful our activity was based on designing their very own pair of jeans that is unique to them.
