Leadership should never have to come at such a cost. The disproportionate treatment directed towards Jason Arday is not uncommon, and this will be deeply triggering for many who understand what it means to navigate the world with a target on your back simply for being Black. There is a painful recognition that the higher you rise, the more exposed you can become to scrutiny, public shaming and, metaphorically and historically, hanging.
During this time of grief, we hope many will pause and think twice about how they treat others - particularly those whose humanity can so easily become lost beneath the weight of expectation, scrutiny and public judgement.
May this be a moment for greater compassion, care and accountability. WE have to take care of each other!!!! - this is a life gone too soon π
Our sincere condolences to the family and all who knew and appreciated Jasonβs life and contributions to this world. ππΎπ

We made it 6!π₯ππ§‘
Now letβs keep pushing forward. πͺπΎ
For the work to continue, we need the continued support.
The vision and mission is essential. Children deserve to see leaders who look like them. Black educators deserve to access the same opportunities for progression. Schools need to be safe spaces where all can thrive.
As we close our celebration week, weβre honoured to share some testimonials from those who have experienced the impact of our work firsthand.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Hereβs to continuing to create meaningful change together. ππ½

Last week, we came together to celebrate 6 years of Aspiring Heads.
It was a truly special moment to reconnect with some of our AH alumni and board members, reflecting on the journey we have shared and the impact we have created together. The energy, love, and warmth in the room were a powerful reminder of the incredible community that continues to surround and inspire us.
While the journey has brought its share of challenges, it has also been filled with countless life-changing successes, moments of transformation, and stories of growth. We are deeply proud of the community we have built - a community shaped by ambition, resilience, trust, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
To every individual who has supported, sponsored, advocated for, and championed our work - βthank youβ. Your belief in our mission has helped us reach further and create greater impact.
To every person who has trusted us with their career journey, opened up about their personal circumstances, and allowed us to be part of their story - βthank youβ. It is a privilege we never take for granted.
Over the past six years, we have learned, grown, and evolved in ways we could never have imagined. As we look ahead to the next chapter, we do so with gratitude for the journey behind us and excitement for all that lies ahead.
If youβve been following our journey and wondering how you can get involved, we would love to connect. There is so much more to come, and we would be honoured to have you be part of what happens next.
Hereβs to the next chapter. π₯

6 years. Countless supporters. One shared mission.
Since 2020, Aspiring Heads has been creating opportunities, championing representation and supporting leaders to grow, thrive and make a lasting difference through education.
None of this would have been possible without the community that has believed in, supported and journeyed with us.
Happy 6th Anniversary to Aspiring Heads! Hereβs to everything we have built - and the next chapter ahead. π
