Today, we remember George Floyd.

His death was a painful reminder of the realities Black people continue to face across society - including within education.

For us, it was also a turning point.

Aspiring Heads was created in response to the systemic barriers that Black children, Black teachers and Black leaders have faced for far too long. Barriers that limit opportunity, silence voices, and shape who gets to lead, belong and thrive.

Our work is rooted in challenging those systems, building spaces of affirmation and leadership, and ensuring that equity is not just spoken about, but actively lived.

We remember George Floyd not only in grief, but in commitment.

Commitment to justice.
Commitment to Black leadership.
Commitment to changing education for the better.

AH Summit 2026 is more than a conference.

It is a space for educators, leaders and changemakers to reflect, connect and explore what leadership can look like when we stop waiting to be chosen.

Different voices.
Honest conversations.
New ways of leading.

A space for those ready to move from awareness into action and shape meaningful change in education.

AH Summit 2026 is coming.

What a powerful day at Kindred!

Today we gathered Black educators in a space for honesty, reflection, restoration and leadership; and the feedback reminded us exactly why these spaces matter.

One participant said:
“I am not alone and I am not crazy!”

Another wrote:
“There are not many spaces like this and it allows black educators like me to not feel alone or isolated.”

We’re deeply grateful for the openness in the room, the wisdom shared, and the reminder that sustainable leadership must make space for truth, care and community.

Special thanks to and for the amazing support - and to for making this possible.

If you want to join us for future Kindred spaces, sign up via the link in bio.

Behind every sound, there’s a story.
Behind every story, a community.

The Music is Black: A British Story traces the sound, the struggle and the legacy behind over a century of Black British music.

Now showing at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London

The United Nations has formally recognised the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity.

A symbolic step - but also a necessary one.

Between 12 and 15 million Africans were enslaved.
Millions more died before even arriving.

This isn’t just history.
Its consequences are still visible today in inequality, in exclusion, in systemic racism.

At Aspiring Heads, we believe education doesn’t just open doors, it helps rewrite narratives.

Because acknowledging the past won’t change it,
but it can shape what comes next.

What do you think?

This Women’s Day, we celebrate the ideas, leadership, and creativity that women bring into the world every day.

At we’re proud to be inspired by women - and to build, learn, and grow alongside them.

Today we invite our community to share the story of a woman who shaped your journey, challenged your thinking, or opened new possibilities.

Because when women support and inspire each other, powerful things happen. ✨
