I'm an experienced German teacher, translator and interpreter and a linguist, and I offer online German lessons for children and adults. I qualified in 2007 as a German and Art teacher for primary and secondary school children. I have a Masters degree in German Linguistics, and am a qualified German-Hungarian translator and interpreter. I moved to London in 2011 and have worked since then as a German speaking nanny and German teacher/tutor. I have many years of experience in teaching children playfully from the age of two and also teaching German to adults. My teaching style is playful with children with lots of games, singing, arts and crafts and reading. I remember how I disliked my German lessons as a child, and I make sure that learning with me is fun, motivational and effective. I teach in the German Saturday School in Greenwich and have led a German play group as well. Some of my pupils have German speaking parents - and they find my lessons a useful supplement to home conversation. On the other hand, I teach many children and adults German from a complete beginner level. My lessons are tailor made according to pupils’ current levels and goals. I love to make practical use of my arts training, and am very creative in teaching German to young children, using household objects, furniture, fruit, vegetables, sometimes even some easy cooking like making a fruit salad, pancakes or ice cream. I'm registered with Ofsted, have an up to date DBS check, and am a qualified first-aider.
