We're always so pleased to hear when the children enjoy the activities we have planned and feel welcomed. Belonging and feeling able to be yourself is a key value at Wee Movers.

Last year, we took our Colour Monster project into Newport School and we were blown away by the response from the Reception children.

After just three weeks, 94% of parents said their child talked more about emotions at home, and 91% noticed their child expressing feelings in new ways, through movement, words and play.

So, we're delighted to share that we will be returning to bring reading through movement to new Reception children this year!

If you are a teacher, parent or school leader interested in bringing dance and literacy to your school, get in touch at [email protected].

We are incredibly grateful to E10 and E17 Homes for providing the funding and making our Schools Project possible. If you are looking for a local estate agent, mention the referral code “Wee Movers” for a reduced percentage on successful sale or let.

Less than a week until we host a Community Conversation for Waltham Forest Council, as part of Future Waltham Forest — come along and take this chance to tell the Council what matters most to you.

Wee Movers will be there moderating the event, but the night is about hearing residents' thoughts and priorities. Environmental concerns, safer streets, whatever's on your mind — this is where you can voice it.

These conversations will feed directly into the Council's next four-year Borough Plan, so you can really help shape what happens next.

📅 Tuesday 29 September, 8–9pm
📍 Leyton Cricket Ground, Multipurpose Room
🎟️ Free to attend — book your place in advance

No experience or preparation needed! Follow the link in bio to find out more.

Meet Sophie Arstall ()🌟

Sophie has been part of our team since January. As a dance artist she has worked as a performer, maker and facilitator for over 20 years, in the UK and beyond with many choreographers. She has created her own work for stage, outdoor settings and film.

Sophie’s teaching practice brings contemporary and creative dance to professionals and communities. She has worked as a Rehearsal Director for Candoco Dance Company and choreographer Rosemary Lee, amongst others.

We love Sophie because she:
- Has the children captivated when leading a class - as a mother of two girls, she really enjoys bringing creative dance other children
- Is a dance teacher, but is also training to teach Tai-Chi Qigong (check out her sessions Good Shepherd Studios)
- Leads our sessions in Me Place
