Happy Easter 🌟

🌼 Happy Easter from all of us at Philosophy Education! 🌼

We’ve had a wonderful last day of term in the office celebrating with an Easter tea party, plenty of chocolate eggs, and lots of fun 😀

As we head into the break, we’d like to wish all our staff and schools a relaxing and joyful Easter. We hope the next two weeks bring you time to recharge and enjoy the spring season.

Our office will remain open from 9am–5pm, with the exception of the Easter bank holiday weekend when we will be closed.

Yesterday, major SEND reforms were announced by the government.

The government has announced plans to spend £5bn to write off 90% of the SEND-related debt built up by English councils by the end of this financial year.

The move follows warnings from the Local Government Association that eight in 10 councils could face bankruptcy if forced to absorb these deficits.

The LGA has welcomed the announcement, saying it removes the immediate risk of insolvency for many councils, with further SEND reforms expected in the upcoming Schools White Paper.

Today is Safer Internet Day!

It is the perfect chance to talk with students about the benefits and risks of being online.

With this year’s theme focusing on AI - from voice assistants to chatbots and the ethics of generative AI - it’s a timely reminder of the responsibly on us all to help young people use technology safely, responsibly, and with confidence!
