🌨️ Snow Town

Ever wondered what it's like to walk through a winter fairytale? Welcome to 雪乡, Harbin’s Snow Town—a dreamlike destination where snow-covered rooftops and frosty pine trees create the perfect postcard scene. ✨❄️

Snow town is about 280 km from Harbin - the capital of Heilongjiang Province. Many tourists choose to go to China Snow Town from Harbin. The small village covering an area of about 17,916 hectares is at an elevation of about 1,100km. It is the best place to feel the charm of snow in the world - like paradise. The snow there is famous for its thickness and high viscosity. When winter comes, the snow can reach up to 2 meters.

After yesterday’s 腊八节 (La Ba Festival), it’s time to dive into preparations for the Chinese New Year! 🎉

1. 橘子 (jú zi)
• 我喜欢吃橘子，尤其是冬天的橘子很甜。
(I love eating oranges, especially the sweet ones in winter.)
• 新年时，橘子代表好运和财富。
(During the New Year, oranges symbolize good luck and wealth.)
2. 小蛇 (xiǎo shé)
• 小蛇在树上爬来爬去。
(The little snake slithers up and down the tree.)
• 今年是蛇年，小蛇是我们的幸运动物！
(This year is the Year of the Snake, and the little snake is our lucky animal!)
3. 福字 (fú zì)
• 春节的时候，我们会把“福”字倒着贴在门上。

Líshuǐ
Lishui is a prefecture-level city in the southwest of Zhejiang province, China. The name of the city literally means "Beautiful Waters".

Lishui has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with short, mild winters and long, very hot, humid summers.

Lishui has a very long history, for during the Liangzhu culture period 4000 years ago, there were tribes living in the area.

Lishui is well known in China for its long history and beautiful landscapes. Yan Yu Lou (misty rain tower) was built during the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960-1127). Many famous ancient poets praised the tower’s beauty. Other recommendable scenic spots are Fengyangshan-Baishanzu National Natural Resort, Xiandu National Park, and Shishi Temple. Shishi Temple is a wooden structure built during the Song and Yuan Dynasties (AD 960-1368). The most characteristic local dishes are Jade Mutton Roll, Shan Fen Ball, Anren Fish with beancurd, and Xian Cai Hot Pot.

If you are in Shanghai and are looking to getaway to a truly off-beat, serene and green location, then Anji is the perfect spot for you. It is a large, impressive bamboo forest, about 4½ hours away from Shanghai by road, and offers a great hiking alternative. It is also popular for producing the region's white tea (白茶 báichá) — a must try while you are there. Not to mention, the air is pristine, and fresh!
