🚒🔥 Firefighters to the rescue! 🔥🚒

The children loved exploring a fire station themed tuff tray, using paint, pipettes and small world resources to spark their imaginations and storytelling skills. The children enjoyed creating fiery marks, moving the emergency vehicles through the “fire,” and talking about how firefighters help keep us safe.

This activity supported:
🔴 Fine motor development through squeezing pipettes
🔴 Imaginative and role play
🔴 Communication and language skills
🔴 Understanding the world and people who help us
🔴 Creative expression through colour and mark making

Digging, scooping, pouring and exploring! 🚜✨

The children enjoyed a construction-themed sensory tray filled with cereal textures, toy vehicles and lots of opportunities for imaginative play.

Through hands-on exploration, the children were developing:
🟡 Fine motor skills
🟡 Hand-eye coordination
🟡 Early mathematical language (full, empty, more, less)
🟡 Communication and social interaction
🟡 Creativity and curiosity through open-ended play

Learning through play is always the best kind of learning in EYFS 💛

✨ Spa Day at Little Sparkes Preschool ✨🧖🧖‍♀️

Today our children enjoyed a relaxing and fun-filled spa experience 💆🏽‍♀️💅🏽 From foot soaks and gentle massages, to face masks, hand massages, nail painting, and even hair styling – our little ones were fully immersed in self-care and role play!

They also had the opportunity to pay for their treatments using their own money, encouraging real-life experiences and independence 💰

🎄✨ Christmas party magic! ✨🎄

Today was packed with festive fun — the children enjoyed yummy food and treats, pulled lots of Christmas crackers, and giggled their way through all the surprises inside!

We had a blast dancing to our favourite songs and playing classic party games like musical statues, musical chairs, and pass the parcel. There was so much excitement and laughter all around! 🎶💃🕺

We also spent time singing Christmas songs together, filling the room with cheerful voices and holiday spirit.

And to top it all off… we ended the day with a special visit from Santa himself! 🎅❤️

Wishing all our wonderful parents a Merry Christmas, and a huge thank you for an outstanding term. We appreciate you! 🌟
