It’s such a rewarding feeling when students remember a small thing that you’ve told them, something so tiny can have a big impact! I love those moments when you know you’ve made a difference 🌟
A student of mine always drew the clock hands of ‘o’clock’ at half past and I said “o’clock is at the top” which turned into a little song and then it clicked and stuck with him! Teaching hack unlocked and mission accomplished ⏰

It’s so lovely when kids ask me random questions, no matter how weird or strange they are, it shows they’re inquisitive and willing to learn! A child once asked me “where do peanuts come from” and we were both mind blown to find out that they grow underground! 🤯
You learn something new every day! Even as a grown up 😆

One of my students scored 35 correct out of 40 in his Year 1 Phonics Screener Check! 🎉 Up from 18 correct in a mock test completed 2 months ago when I first began tutoring him, what a superstar! 🌟
This student didn’t enjoy phonics in school, leading to lack of enthusiasm to participate in lessons. My job here as his tutor was to make the subject fun and engaging, which then sparked the motivation to succeed. Changing the teaching approach made a world of difference! 🤗

A good tutor should always be knowledgable in their subject area and deliver organised sessions in an enthusiastic and engaging way. You should be able to trust your tutor to be patient and respectful with your child to help them achieve their greatest potential! 🌟
We’re only human; it’s important for your tutor to recognise that everyone has good and bad days and to be empathetic towards all situations, adapting their teaching techniques to reflect the needs of the child. 💫
