📸 PHOTOS AT TEST – NATIONAL ROLLOUT HAS BEGUN

DVSA has confirmed that Photos at Test is now being rolled out nationally across MOT testing stations in Great Britain.

The rollout started on 3 August, with a further 2,500 garages gaining access, and DVSA plans to make the feature available to all MOT testing sites over the coming months.

🔧 If the option appears on your MOT Testing Service, DVSA is recommending that testers start using it and get familiar with the process.

The photo should clearly show:
✅ The vehicle in the testing bay
✅ The vehicle on the test equipment
✅ The registration plate clearly visible and legible
✅ A clear, good-quality image

⚠️ Importantly, DVSA has also stated that Photos at Test may become mandatory in the future.

We would recommend that MOT stations and testers start familiarising themselves with the process as soon as the feature becomes available.
