It was so wonderful seeing everyone at last week’s workshop 👩🏽‍💻 I’m so inspired by each of you for sharing your art. It’s definitely not an easy journey! Keep going, keep growing, make mistakes, begin again, and don’t forget to rest. You can get there.

If you missed it, you can still watch the 60-minute replay for a £5 donation. Just pop an emoji below or send me a message and I’ll share the links with you.

I’m also excited to share that I now offer one-to-one guidance for artists online 💻 You can find more details on my website or get in touch to ask me about it.

Hello September! 🌻 It’s that back-to-school feeling here in England this week, and I’m back too on a more regular schedule 🤓

This month, I’m excited to once again offer one of my free online workshops:

🆓 Workshop for Independent Artists 📀
It has never been easier to produce and release your own songs, at least in terms of technical tools. But the craft and the journey still take a lot of work, patience, and dedication. As a new artist, it can be hard to know what to prioritise or where to start. This free workshop is for anyone curious about what it really means to be an independent artist. I’ll be sharing my story and the things I wish I knew myself when I was starting out.

📆 Tuesday 23 September, 17.00 (UK time, GMT)
📍Zoom (The workshop is 45 mins)
💰Free! (A full recording of the workshop will be available afterwards for a £5 donation)

Tap the linktree on my page to read more and sign up. I hope to see you there!

Happy summer all 💚
I’m off on holiday today. Back teaching as usual from 15th of July with limited availability, as I won’t be taking on any new private students until September. Current students carry on as usual 🙂

However - there’s still some daytime availability for new students on Wednesdays and Fridays when I’m at City Vocal Coach.

You can always message me with any questions and also join the waiting list for September when I’ll be opening up for new students again 🙂

Take care over the summer, keep singing and I’ll see you soon!

Singing as Self-Care 💚 Hello all! It’s been a while again. I’ve been working on a few things behind the scenes that I can’t wait to share with you. First up…

I’ve created a new workshop designed to give you a moment to unwind and connect with yourself - and your voice.
Join me for this free workshop on Thursday 12th June at 6.30pm to discover how singing can help relieve stress, enhance your overall wellbeing, and create a sense of inner peace.

This workshop will include:
* A gentle vocal warm-up
* Introduction to vocal self-massage
* Connecting to the body and breath
* Soothing singing exercises
* Voice care for singers
* Q&A with Malin

I’d recommend this for anyone wanting to learn about, explore, and understand singing and the voice - and how it’s connected to our wellbeing.
Also highly recommended for aspiring and professional artists looking to deepen their awareness of the importance of rest and vocal care.
Here’s a way to get out of your head, ground yourself, and tune in - simply by using your voice. I’d love to see you there! 💚

📅 WHEN: Thursday, 12th June, 6:30 PM (UK Time, GMT)
💻 WHERE: Zoom (session lasts ~ 50 minutes)
💰 COST: Free! 🎉

Dear singers,
Thank you so much for your understanding and patience with me having to reschedule a lot of lessons lately - jumping online last minute or agreeing to move your time so I could get some vocal rest between sessions.

Unfortunately, I’ve experienced some issues with my voice following a nasty winter flu in February. I’ll share more about it later on, once I’m through the other side of this rehab journey. I couldn’t have been luckier with the experts I’ve come across - vocal health coaches, a speech therapist, doctor, and massage therapist - all offering valuable advice and helping me stay calm over the past few weeks.

I’m off on an exciting adventure to Los Angeles today to record a new project, so there’ll be a pause in lessons. I’ll be back teaching as normal after Easter and I’m looking forward to seeing you all then 🫶🏼

Wishing you a lovely Sunday ☀️ and thank you again for being here 🤗

Sunday and vocal rest for me 😌 …Literally on the sofa, slowly typing away on a blog post that will be up this coming week for you.

📸 Picture from the City Vocal Coach studio earlier this week - looking slightly more awake than I am now! 🤭

I’m currently at City Vocal Coach in Hoxton on Wednesdays and Fridays - plus some Saturdays. Weekend and evening slots fill up quickly, so head to the City Vocal Coach website to check my availability and book directly online. Or feel free to message me here to book.

(Note: These bookings are separate from my Hackney Wick studio and online sessions.)

😌 Singing regularly will help you feel more calm - it’s true! You can think of it as a form of breathwork or meditation, allowing your sustained exhale to soothe your nervous system.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined the workshop on Thursday - it was wonderful to spend time with you all 💛

If you missed it, don’t worry - there’ll be another one soon!
