225th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. This morning the enemy launched its missiles at residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. One dead woman and dozens of wounded are already known. Rescuers continue to clear the rubble and search for victims. They managed to save a little 3-year-old girl whose short life was literally destroyed in one minute. This countless list of terrible crimes and terrorist acts committed against Ukraine by the "brotherly people" demonstrates that the russians have not only nothing "brotherly" left but also nothing human at all. Every terrorist will indeed receive a fair punishment. And death will be the most humane of them. We will return all our territories because the so-called putin's "laws on the acceptance" of Ukrainian regions into russia are not worth even the paper they are signed on. The victorious Ukrainian movement continues. Every day our heroic Armed Forces of Ukraine return the Ukrainian flag to new cities and villages, bringing dignity, freedom, and peaceful and socially secure life. Each of us is a Warrior!
Please stand with us
Figures of the day:
● The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 3 more settlements in Beryslav district, Kherson region. The enemy units suffered losses and are trying to evacuate the wounded and equipment to the nearest crossings of the Dnipro River.
● Head of Luhansk regional administration Serhiy Haidai confirmed the de-occupation of 6 settlements in the Luhansk region.
● AFU General Staff: Over the last day, russian troops conducted 5 missiles and 8 air strikes and made over 65 attacks from multiple rocket launchers. Facilities and civilians in more than 30 localities suffered from the enemy's strikes. Among them - Bila Tserkva, Kupyansk, Bilohorivka, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Gulyaypole.
● Air defence in the south of Ukraine destroyed nine Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones used by the occupiers to attack Ukrainian territory on October 6.
● Another russian torture chamber was found in the basement of a house in the village of Pisky-Radkivski (Kharkiv region). The occupants tortured Ukrainians, including burying them alive in the ground and pulling out their teeth, the National Police said.
● A grave for more than 50 people was found in the liberated Lyman. According to Hromadske, who published photos of the tombs, civilians who died mainly due to shelling are buried in the cemetery.
● Portugal and Spain invited Ukraine and jointly applied to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

What is Calico Cats?
A youth theatre for primary aged school children. Based in the heart of Fenham, all children are welcome.
Through drama and music we have loads of fun, and the children make friends, have a huge confidence boost, express themselves, and if they wish to they work towards LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) exams and local performances.
Who are Calico Cats? We are a team of dedicated and nurturing tutors. Jenni is a musician and actress who also teaches music in primary schools and dresses up as very silly characters at places like the Hexham Festival.
Where do I sign?!
Here:
Week 2 of our After-school Group lessons at Cotham School - you can’t go wrong with warm-up activity ‘In the Manner Of’! Students created some hilarious, convincing and occasionally slightly creepy actions with adverbs. All this and a couple of other Warm-up activities before we got down to business with tryouts for possible Group LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) examination scripts… watch this space!

LAMDA exam success 🎭⭐️
Presentation of certificates ✨👏🏼✨👏🏼✨👏🏼✨👏🏼✨👏🏼✨👏🏼 LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art)
Inspired by record results in LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) exams across the school, Year 6 children have begun auditioning for their year-group performance in December. They will be performing Growing Up, a series of small plays within a play about the trials and tribulations of getting older

A brilliant cohort of 55 THS pupils sat their LAMDA speech and drama examinations at the end of last term - and every single one of them got a distinction, the highest award possible!

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is very popular across the whole school, with pupils right from Year 1 through to Year 10 opting to take part in weekly lessons. The LAMDA exams are the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade, starting at basic levels through to Grade 8. Through performance, students develop self-confidence, physical presence, and a strong speaking voice - and have lots of fun!

Our LAMDA Lead, Mrs Jolly said: “I am so thrilled for all our students. It takes a lot of effort and dedication to be ready for a LAMDA exam and everyone has worked so hard. For them all to have been awarded distinction is just a fantastic result and I am so very proud of them.”

Did you know?...Seniors can use LAMDA lessons and exam preparation time for the skills section of their Duke of Edinburgh award, plus LAMDA exams count towards the all-important UCAS points total when applying for university.
A host of Junior School pupils were thrilled to receive their LAMDA certificates recently.

A LAMDA exam is the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade and the girls and boys, who were from Years Three to Six, worked hard to ensure that they passed their particular level.

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is available as a co-curricular club in the Junior School. Find out more about all of the co-curricular club options on the Outside The Classroom page - https://www.stockportgrammar.co.uk/junior-school/outside-the-classroom/.
52 pupils (yes 52!) from Years 3-8 have been celebrating their amazing LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) results. Distinctions galore and some exceedingly high Merits have prompted big smiles all round. Congratulations to everyone. Great work Mrs West and Ms Symonds!
A lovely visit from Georgia and her mum today to collect her LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) Acting Gold Medal 🏅 before she heads off to university.

Georgia has been an absolute joy to teach and has also been so supportive and helpful to other students especially those completing their Arts Awards

Georgia is our first Studio student to complete Gold level qualifications across English Speaking Board, LAMDA and Arts Award

We wish Georgia every success in her studies
After another excellent round of LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) exam results from our June exams - over 30 students passing with Merit and Distinction - we're back with a brand-new term of classes this week.

Our teachers Nafi and Kevin will be preparing their students for exams in Musical Theatre, Acting and Shakespeare in December.

Here's to a great term!

Welcome to the official page for LAMDA. We are a world-class drama school & examinations provider, training exceptional artists around the globe.
