A while ago, I told you on my Stories that I don’t really read fiction. I’m 100% into non-fiction, productivity and self-growth books! 🧠 A lot of you voted “YES” to wanting my personal recommendations, so here they are!

If you are an Upper-Intermediate or Advanced learner (B2-C1), reading non-fiction in English is a massive shortcut. Why? Because you aren’t just learning standard grammar; you are mastering the specific vocabulary used in casual conversations, networking, and everyday mindset 🚀

⏳ 1. “𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬” (Oliver Burkeman): A reality check about how limited our time on Earth is and how to stop obsessing over toxic productivity. (I’m currently hooked on this one!).
🤫 2. “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲” (Mel Robbins): This one is at the very top of my TBR (To Be Read) list for this summer! It’s all about letting go of emotional control. Since it’s Mel Robbins, it’s packed with modern, fresh, and real-life American expressions.
📝 3. “𝟏𝟎𝟏 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤” (Brianna Wiest): Pure wisdom in short chapters. It’s perfect for the beach because you can read one essay, close the book, and just reflect.
🔥 4. “𝐍𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞” (Brian Tracy): If you need a push to hit your professional goals, this is it. It uses very direct, sharp, and actionable English.
