Last night, we welcomed our new MBA cohort to Bayes Business School.

It was a wonderful evening of drinks, networking, great food and, most importantly, getting to know one another. It was fantastic to see our new cohort connecting and beginning to build the relationships that will be such an important part of their MBA journey.

Join us at Bayes Business School for Technical Security, a one-day executive education programme exploring the growing risks of technical espionage and how organisations can better protect their people, information and strategic assets.

The programme will feature Professor Sir Anthony Finkelstein, President of City St George’s, University of London and former Chief Scientific Adviser for National Security, alongside experts from across national security, government and industry.

Taking place on Wednesday 28 October 2026, the programme will combine expert insight, real-world case studies and live demonstrations to explore the vulnerabilities that can exist beyond the traditional cyber perimeter.

From US Navy warships to the heart of London.

Before joining Bayes Business School, Oliver Yogananthan was a US Navy Supply Corps Officer, serving on warships and at the Pentagon. His career had given him a strong foundation in logistics, leadership and operations. But he wanted to understand the bigger picture.

"When I wore the uniform on active duty, everything was very siloed," he says. "Coming to London, it's such a diverse place and it's a 24/7 culture. It gives you a perspective outside of a siloed mindset."

Studying alongside people from different countries, industries and cultures challenged Oliver to rethink how he communicated, made decisions and worked with others.

"They helped me understand that people are different, and how sometimes our differences can become our strength."

Today Oliver works in Aerospace & Defence, bridging military operators, government officials, engineers and policymakers, work he says draws directly on the strategic thinking he built during his MBA.

Sometimes the most valuable thing an MBA gives you is not an answer. It is a broader perspective on the questions you are capable of asking.
