My visit to Goa was quite a special one. Sharing with all too❤😊❤

Shells at the beaches of Goa

Each beach is unique for the shells it hides under its sandy carpet. They all vary in colours, sizes and numbers.

The most exciting find for me, was the shiny pearl white coloured, unusual ones. They were flat as discs. Thin and crispy as wafers. A smooth surface to touch, and a cloud like design on it with a hue of cream, off-white ,translucent texture.

Oval and round in shape ranged from 5 to 10 inches in diameter. Some shaped a little narrow on the top and a spreading skirt at the bottom. I could hold it for a long time in my hands to admire and feel it.

Another 🏖 Beach at Cidade in North Goa had shelIs that were in a distinct combination of rust color and off white. These were primarily cone shaped pointed twirls.

Grey and white striped shells dominated another beach just a few kilometers away in the same vicinity. These were the regular, flat like the Chinese hat.

One of yet another type had dark grey sand . I could call it wildly and thickly populated with tiny creatures that crawled briskly on this shore of a vast water body. They were crowned larger than their size.The smartly stopped when my camera followed them. They must have felt threatened by the silent electric lighting. These wonderous tiny, slimy and tender tots metamorphosed into a still conch like artistic structures.

Yet another beach at Benolim , and yet another shape.

It was an intriguing sight to spot nails strewn on the shore. Went close to pick them and they were delicate and thin and small but certainly not tender, shells.

My curiosity grew and I kept my exploration on. Truly, make hay while the sun ☀️shines.

My benevolent family took me to across the city to search for more variety. The mission was successful🏆.

There were very very small and fragile.These had fine vertical ribs. To me they looked like 'closed eyes with lovely eyelashes. It was enthralled my soul.

Thick and strong conches were a rear find. These looked very artistic. I found a variety of interesting shapes. The one have treasured is heavy like a paper weight, a turtle with its head tucked in safe, and dark pink in colour.

One more great find was iridescent ones.

Iridescence (also known as goniochromism) is the phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes. Examples of iridescence include soap bubbles, feathers, butterfly wings and seashell nacre, as well as certain minerals.

How splendid is our Mother Earth and bountiful Nature🌿🍃.
