We were saddened to hear of the passing of former Ernest Bevin teacher and alumnus, Mr Dove.
Mr Dove was a much-loved member of the school community for many years. He began as a Science Technician before becoming a Science Teacher and later Head of Green Ties, where he supported and guided generations of young people.
He will be remembered for his humour, patience, and the encouragement he gave to so many students. He had a real gift for building positive relationships and making a lasting difference, often without ever realising the impact he had.
After retiring, he continued his service to others as a Justice of the Peace.
His contribution to the school and wider community will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Mr Dove.
βPupils want to learn and are ambitious for their futures. They are well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment.β β
