Leyton Sixth Form College is a lively, diverse, successful institution located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. About 2,000 students attend the college, mostly aged between 16 and 19 and studying courses from Level 1 to Foundation Degree. The college offers over 35 A Level subjects and vocational courses in Science, IT, Business, Child Care, Health and Social Care and others. The college is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has achieved a gold grade with Investors in People. Students are engaged in a vast range of sporting and enrichment activities at the college and work in a safe and welcoming environment.

You’ll cover :

1. 🏺 Myth, heroes & propaganda explore the legendary worlds of Homer’s Odyssey and Virgil’s Aeneid.

2. Explore Greek identity, the Persian Wars, myth and reality, and how the Greeks constructed the idea of the ‘barbarian’.

3. Olympian gods, encounters with the divine, temples, sacrifice, rituals, priests and philosophy.

Suitable for all students, no prior experience needed, but particularly of interest to:

English students
