As part of The Diversity Trust’s Voice & Influence Project, our aim is to ensure that LGBTQ+ issues are always on the table at a strategic level.

As such we want to shape what this looks like for people who live in Somerset and get a better understanding of the gaps and barriers face.

This event will be a start to get an understanding of community needs from a professional’s perspective before we conduct wide outreach into the community itself.

Our aim is to come out with a bit of a plan for the region and understand best how we can influence change at a higher level.

We will be hosting three events across the Somerset region, they will be:

Friday, October 23rd – Somerset Council Office, Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT

Wednesday, October 28th – Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR

Friday, October 30th - Glastonbury Hub, Glastonbury , 1 Orchard Court, The Archers Way, Glastonbury, BA6 9JB

All sessions will run from 1pm – 4pm.

We know there is still a level of confusion surrounding what the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Code of Practice means for individuals and services.

We have done a breakdown of what it now means that this Code of Practice has become statutory.
