At GCU London, our MSc International Marketing Programme goes beyond theory, it’s about co-creating with industry to prepare students for real-world success.
Programme Leader Julie Man designed a collaborative real marketing assessment project with Daniel Sandler, CEO & Founder of Veridox. “Integrating authentic live client briefs builds confidence, creativity, and resilience. It sharpens communication and presentation skills through live interaction—essential for future marketing leaders.”
This trimester, our students took part in a live pitch competition for Veridox.AI, delivering strategic marketing ideas and presenting live to Dan Sandler, who joined us as a guest speaker and panel judge—also providing prizes for the best pitches.
Here’s what Esther Uduebor, one of our students and a class representative, reflected about her experience:
“I enjoyed presenting real marketing ideas to a real company. Working on a live pitch made me focus on clarity, relevance, and impact to the client. It was very valuable—it helped me build confidence in presenting ideas, communicating professionally, and working in a real business context, which is especially important as an international student preparing for a global work environment. It also helped sharpen my communication skills.”
Adefemi Adewemimo, a student from the winning team shared, “This opportunity improves our confidence in the programme and its potential for career growth by combining classroom activities with industry activities, such as interacting with clients. The live pitch experience is valuable, as it prepares students for real-world experience even after graduating.”

💬 “The course encouraged me to think about health challenges in a broader socioeconomic and cultural context”.
Congratulations to Almeena for graduating with her master’s in public health (MPH) at GCU London last week! Almeena shares more of her experience with us: 🎓🏥
“I chose to study at GCU London because, as an international student from Pakistan, I was particularly drawn to GCU’s diverse learning environment, focus on global health equity and the opportunity to learn from faculty with extensive international public health experience.
“Some of my best memories include engaging in thought-provoking discussions with classmates from all over the world, each bringing unique public health perspectives from their own countries.
“I aspire to work with international health organisations such as WHO or UNICEF. My long-term goal is to contribute to strengthening public health systems in Pakistan and across South Asia, particularly in the areas of maternal and child health and infectious disease control.
“My advice is to stay curious, stay compassionate, and never lose sight of the human aspect of public health. The field requires dedication, empathy, and a willingness to engage with communities at every level. Take advantage of every opportunity GCU offers from research projects to networking events and always believe that your work can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”
Huge congratulations, Almeena. We are excited to see what you do in the future and please do keep in touch! 💙🎉
