King's College School is an independent day school for boys aged 7-18 and girls aged 16-18.

Founded in 1829 by royal charter, it is a school of over 1400 pupils and is one of the most academically successful schools in the world. The school prides itself on being one of the top academic schools in the country, but with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and an exceptional co-curricular programme.

An evening of artistic celebration 🎨

Congratulations to our pupils, who saw their artwork exhibited in the Norman Plastow gallery for the Young Wimbledon Artist competition. From intricate paintings of London Southbank to moving pieces of grief, there was an abundance of talent on show, with Ashton (L6MAC) and Dashiell (L5M) winning prizes for their work.

King's pupils are always encouraged to show up with confidence and enter competitions across their various subjects and extra-curricular passions. This enables all pupils to build resilience while taking part in exciting new experiences and achievements, helping to create a world beyond school.

Wonderful evenings of music collaboration at King's Arts 2026 🎵
We are very excited to hear pupil bands from King's and partnership schools come together for the Sound Stage band showcase on Thursday 25th June. It will be a genre-spanning celebration of collaborative music-making, featuring fresh takes on much-loved covers, while strengthening creative bonds across the participating schools.

Then on Friday 26th June, the festival marquee will transform into a jazz club as the London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra joins forces with the King's Big Band. Led by drummer and composer Finn Genockey, the LIJO will bring together emerging talent from the Guildhall, the Royal Academy and Trinity Laban for a big band journey through the ages.

Food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the evening, and a welcome beverage is included with every ticket. Book via the link below🎟️

Summer is just around the corner ☀️

After working hard throughout the whole year and completing their progress tests, year 7 have been celebrating 'almost' finishing their first year as King's senior school pupils - with doughnuts.

Now, it's time to get excited for the last few weeks of the summer term, which will include World Beyond week, cricket fixtures and (hopefully) some sunny summer days here at King's.

This half term, Mind, Spirit and Heart showed up in equal measure❤️

Kabir (L6A1) received a highly commended at the international Minds Underground Engineering Innovation Challenge for his innovative solar-powered inflatable life jacket, designed to provide warmth and dignity to refugees and unhoused people. Liantai (TDM) took home gold in the U8 section of the UK Chess Challenge North London Megafinal, qualifying him for the Gigafinal in July!

Our wonderful Mental Health ambassadors from the lower sixth spent their break times fundraising for the Mental Health Foundation selling green ribbons and raising awareness for good mental wellbeing within the school. Austin (2Z) served on the official ball crew at the World Team Table Tennis Championships at Wembley Arena, completing every duty without missing a day of school and earning glowing feedback from Table Tennis England for his maturity and commitment.

Aarush (L5L) is one of just 12 young people in the UK selected for the teen strand of the BBFC Youth Panel, contributing to film classification and policy-making over a two-year term! Alex (1MB) joined a team of players from different schools to compete in the ESE Corinthians Cup, and despite never having played together before, they lifted the trophy against a side that hadn't lost in two years.

We are very proud of our pupils from transition to upper sixth for consistently representing our values and carrying them into various aspects of their lives, not just in the classroom.

On Wednesday 24th June, four world-class soloists join a chorus of current and former pupils for an evening of operatic splendour. Soprano Philippa Boyle, mezzo-soprano Katie Bray, tenor Thomas Elwin and bass-baritone Ashley Riches bring a programme of celebrated arias, from Bizet's Carmen and Verdi's La Traviata to the iconic Nessun Dorma, breathtakingly to life.

Welcome back, class of 2019 🦁

With the sun shining, we recently held our annual 'Life at 25' reunion event for our King's community. This event brings together former classmates and teachers through our alumni network, the King's Association, for an evening of nostalgia, sharing memories of King's and celebrating everything they have been up to since.

Although it has been seven years since these former pupils left us, it is clear they have carried the heart of our lion throughout their unique journeys, arriving at life at 25 and looking boldly towards the world beyond. We can't wait to see where you all go next.

A first for the King's history books 🎾

The ISL Junior Championship title is with King's! Across the U14, 15 and 16 categories, players from fourth form, lower fifth and upper fifth beat Eton, Reed's and Whitgift to secure what is believed to be the first title of its kind in the school's history. This is an unforgettable milestone, and we hope all our players are very proud of this achievement. Credit also goes to the coaches and staff whose support made it possible. Not a bad weekend on the court.
