Established as a College on the current site by London Borough of Newham in 1985, the result of a merger between East Ham and West Ham technical colleges with the aim 'to better serve the needs of the people of Newham'. Newham College of FE has a reputation for widening student participation with an enormous range and variety of provision. The College has developed a comprehensive selection of outreach sites and learning partnerships across London, enlarging the college considerably.

Last week, we held our first Construction Fair at Stratford Campus for our students, helping them gain industry insights, build employer connections, and make informed decisions about their future careers.
It was fantastic to see learners engaging with employers and asking vital questions about career pathways, routes into employment, and opportunities within the industry.
Choosing a college or sixth form is the first big decision that your child will make and it's completely normal for you both to feel a little overwhelmed!

SEND and ESOL students, based at East Ham campus have worked together to create a fantastic piece of artwork to promote autism awareness. Learners used different materials, colours, textures, and collage techniques to make bright and creative artwork. They shared ideas, helped each other, and worked together as a team.
Our students wanted to share their message about inclusion: Everyone is different, and everyone experiences the world in their own way, but everyone should feel valued, respected, included, and able to take part, no matter how they communicate, learn, or experience the world!

We recently completed our latest staff survey, and the results are in! Thanks to high staff engagement; we’re celebrating some incredible year-on-year growth that proves why !
- Line Management satisfaction rose to 89% (up from 82%!)
- Our overall organisational culture score climbed to 88%
- Our overall staff experience rating grew to 81%
- 87% of our staff would recommend the College as a place to work
