ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একদল তরুণ শিক্ষার্থী তিন দিনব্যাপী সফরে সিলেট আসেন এবং আজ যুক্তরাজ্যভিত্তিক স্টুডেন্ট কনসালটেন্সি প্রতিষ্ঠান এস এ এক্সপ্রেস-এর সিলেট অফিস পরিদর্শন করেন।

প্রতিষ্ঠানটির পক্ষ থেকে মতিউর রহমান ও হাবিবুর রহমান তাঁদের আন্তরিকভাবে স্বাগত জানান। লন্ডনে সরকারি ছুটির দিন (২৫ ডিসেম্বর) হওয়া সত্ত্বেও প্রায় এক ঘণ্টাব্যাপী একটি ফলপ্রসূ ক্যারিয়ার-সংক্রান্ত আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

লন্ডন থেকে আমি প্রযুক্তির সহায়তায় আলোচনায় যুক্ত ছিলাম।

A New Partnership for Higher Education.

The British Council Bangladesh and the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project signed a landmark agreement on Thrusday at the House of Lords, UK.

Implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh with support from the World Bank, the project aims to strengthen higher education collaboration between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

The signing ceremony was hosted by The Rt. Hon. Baroness Rosie Winterton, UK Trade Envoy to Bangladesh, in the presence of Baroness Wendy Alexander, Vice Chair of the British Council; Dr. S. M. A. Faiz, Chairman of the UGC; the Vice Chancellors of the University of Dhaka, North South University, and BUET; and representatives from the World Bank, the British Council, and Advance HE.

Abida Islam, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK, also attended the event.
