🛠️ Help shape the future of planning in England by taking part in the Pluralism in Place survey, led LSE Oram research fellows Liz Williams and Meg Hennessy.
📚 This study explores how professionals across the built environment sector engage with different types of value – from economic and environmental to social and cultural – and how we can better navigate the tools used to define, measure, and balance these priorities.
These tools include both value frameworks, which provide guiding principles for decision-making, and value measurement tools, which help assess the impacts of projects across their lifecycle. The researchers aim to establish an inventory of value-based tools: to better understand how they influence practice and how we might work towards more effective approaches for managing trade-offs in planning and development.
