The kids are back, the uniforms have survived their first few weeks (hopefully 🤞) and quite frankly… we think that deserves cake.

When: Thursday 25th September
Where: At the front of the school
Time: 3.30–5.30pm

Come and say hi to your PTFA committee, grab a sweet treat, have a catch-up with fellow school-gate parents and ease yourself back into the chaos that is term time!

Every slice, cookie and crumb helps support our school, so technically… it’s fundraising. And we fully support fundraising. Especially the delicious kind.

As the school year comes to an end, we marked the occasion with our Year 6 graduation ceremony and celebration of all their achievements! 🎓✨ What an incredible journey it has been, filled with learning, laughter, friendships, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of everything they have achieved and the wonderful young people they have become. As you take your next steps into secondary school, remember to believe in yourselves, be kind, work hard, and embrace every new opportunity that comes your way- you will go far! We wish you every success and happiness in your next adventure. You’ll always be part of the Ferry Lane family. 🌟

Also, well done to our pupils who were awarded the Headteacher’s Award for outstanding achievement this term, and to our attendance winners! We very sadly said goodbye to Ms Crooks who has been with us at Ferry Lane and well-loved by our children, families and staff for over 25 years. We wish her the very best for her retirement!

We’d like to thank all our families for your support over the year that has been filled with so many successes, and wish you all a fantastic summer break.

Well done to our Reception Class of 2026! Today saw their graduation and celebration of this significant milestone which was a moment to cherish. This occasion reflects the just how far our young pupils have grown and blossomed over the year and we are so proud of everything they’ve achieved. Thank you also to our wonderful Reception staff team who supported the children so well and for playing such an important role in their EYFS journey.
Congratulations to all our young graduates - wishing everyone the very best success in the exciting Year 1 journey that lies ahead. Well done everyone! 👏

🏃‍♀️💙 What a fantastic morning at our Ferry Lane Fun Run! 💙🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to every child, family, friend and member of staff who came along to run, cheer, volunteer and support.

And after all that running... everyone had certainly earned a well-deserved ice cream! 🍦😋

Together, you've helped raise an incredible £1,400 for our school! 🎉 Every pound brings us one step closer to creating even better opportunities for our children.

We will be holding a Uniform Swap Shop at the school on Monday 6th July from 3.30pm-5pm. This will be held in the school community hall 👗👔❤️👕🎒

Please donate items of school uniform to the school office by the morning of Monday 6th July. All funds raised will go towards the PTFA fundraising pot for school resources.

Another fantastic Green Day at Ferry Lane Primary School! 💚☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of sunshine, fun and fundraising in support of our school.

A special thank you goes to our amazing staff, FLAG and the PTFA, whose hard work, time and dedication helped make the day such a success. Also, thanks to Jaheim on the BBQ, the Engine Room staff and many other volunteers who all pitched in!

What an incredible achievement for our Year 5 and 6 pupils who took part in our Dance Giants programme! After months of dedication, hard work, and practice throughout the year, our talented dancers took to the stage at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre to showcase their amazing dance skills.

Their confidence, creativity, and teamwork shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have accomplished. Performing on stage to their parents and carers was a wonderful opportunity and a fitting celebration of all their effort and commitment.

A huge well done to all of our children for their outstanding performance and for representing our school so brilliantly! 👏 🌟

Our 2 laps around Markfield Park challenge is back!

Think you’ve got what it takes? Sign up for our sponsored Fun Run on 22nd June and grab yourself a sponsorship form. Don’t think running is for you? Give it a go anyway!

Those who sign up and raise money for our amazing school will start their run at 10am, parents/carers are welcome to come along and cheer from the sidelines.

You have 3 weeks to get your sponsors and your training completed before the big day on July 10th!
