Pupils from Reception to Year 3 took part in a fun Athletics Festival this afternoon organised by Croydon Sports Partnership. The children enjoyed practising a range of athletics skills, including running, jumping and throwing, and showed great encouragement by cheering on their friends throughout the event. What a great way to spend a sunny afternoon! ☀️

Year 2 had a fantastic time on their trip this week, pond dipping and going on a minibeast hunt! 🕷️ 🐛 Exploring under logs and through long grass, they discovered a range of fascinating minibeasts. The highlight of the day was pond dipping, where the children were thrilled to find two newts along with other tiny water creatures! Despite the rain, they braved the wet weather with enthusiasm and curiosity. Thank you Keston for hosting us!

Our KS2 Cricket Club enjoyed a (rather wet!) day up at the Kia Oval attending the Surrey County Cricket Schools Day. Unfortunately the cricket was rained off but they had a go at some cricket activities and got to see the stadium! 🏏 🌧️

☀️ Sports Leader Training in the Sunshine! ⚽️

On Friday afternoon, our Sports Leaders worked with Reception pupils, leading a carousel of activities focused on agility, balance, and coordination to consolidate their learning about fundamental movement skills.

Mrs Hart and Mr Martin were impressed with their positive attitudes and natural leadership. We look forward to them starting lunchtime games next week! 👏

🌍 Happy Earth Day! 🌱

Today our children took part in a special ‘Power Down Hour’, switching off lights and electronics to help raise awareness about caring for our planet.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored our Power Down Hour. The fantastic funds raised will go towards buying plants for our school grounds, helping our environment — and supporting our important pollinators like bees and butterflies 🐝🌸

The children created a wonderful hall display where they added a bee, butterfly or flower to celebrate their fundraising efforts — and as you can see, they did an amazing job!

We are so proud of how our school community came together to make a positive difference for our planet 💚
