Stephen Oruche is an inspiration to anyone who thinks it's too late to pursue education or achieve their dream career. Despite being a mature student, Stephen has chosen to take charge of his life and is currently pursuing the Foundation Year in Business Management.

Stephen's dream is to be an entrepreneur in the transportation sector and also build an online business. He knows that the knowledge he gains from the course will be invaluable in achieving those goals. Since starting his course, Stephen has already seen a positive change in his life. He has gained confidence and feels like he's on the path to becoming the person he wants to be.

Meet Hassan Amin, a Business Management student at the London School of Science & Technology. Previously a forklift operator, Hassan now has a clear target in life - to become an investment consultant.

Since starting his studies, Hassan has experienced a confidence boost and has gained recognition from his loved ones. As a mature student, he has particularly enjoyed group presentations and gained much experience from working with others.

When Monique turned down the chance to finish her studies in 2020, she wanted to focus on caring for her kids. Three years later, she felt the time was right to pursue her studies again when her oldest child “asked if I ever considered returning to university."

That's when she reached out to Career Tree and enrolled in the Health and Wellbeing in Society course.

Having been back to education for almost six months, Monique appreciates that it has brought her closer to her children, as she now goes through the same life stages as them - doing assignments and studying for exams.

Mareen, who is entering her first year as a Business and Human Resources Management student, said she is more confident and made many new friends along the way.
