Job Description
We have a unique lovely role in Dubai for a much recommended Swedish/British family that are looking for a top Governess.
The family: Two daughters (aged 6 and 4 years). Father works and travels a lot. Mother works too. They have a huge house over 1700sq ft. Your accommodation will be great and separate, possible within the complex but separate (TBA).
Set up:
The girls have two nannies (both from the Philippines), to whom they are very close. However, they would like to hire a British governess to join their household, and to take over the girls’ day-to-day home-schooling (such as homework) and overall development. Mum and sad both pursue very busy careers which means that they are not always on hand to focus on homework, reading, writing, creative play, etc. Although they love their Filipinas, they are seeing gaps in their development which they think a British governess can best help plug. The other nannies will stay-on, but in a support (meals/bedtimes, etc.) / other household duties. The longer-term plan is to return to London in about 5 years’ time, and they want to ensure that both girls are best-equipped to transition as seamlessly as possible into top-tier London schools.
Hours:
In terms of hours, during term-time, the girls will be at school from 8am to 3pm, so the key hours those weeks will be after school (3 to 6pm) and on weekends (one day, not both and possibly only one weekend day every over week). During the holidays, the hours would be fuller: 9am to 6pm, 5 days a week (but not weekends). They do want someone with a degree of flexibility please.
Essentially you will be working a few hours for a very good salary.
Duties:
The role is very tutor based - would principally be to help with homework, and their development more broadly: other activities, discipline, etc. (although they are well-behaved girls, if not a bit spoilt).
Travel is expected with the family and that includes Ski-trips, summer hols and similar.

They have a driver so you do not need to drive but will be taken around by him.
No pets.
Requirements
Teacher or tutor background ideally
Experience of 5 years or more
Private family work experience ideal
Native or near native British or with British perfect accent
We are looking for a university educated British (or possibly EU) national with perfect Queen's English and accent. Sorry to be so particular on this issue.
And someone who is comfortable with mathematics, science, and other areas of educational development.
Plus, they need to be lively and have a real passion for young children.
The family is flexible on age. Their girls are energetic however so someone not older than 50 may work best. Even 25-30 is not too young.
Benefits
An excellent salary package is offered of anything from 800-2000GBP per week depending on your experience. We are looking for the best of the best only please.
The role is live in and you will get your own room and bathroom separate. The house has 2 kitchens and you can use either or. Its a large home (1700sq ft so you will feel separated). If you feel you must have your own flat, this may be negotiable for the right person.
Holiday time provided of course and other benefits plus the usual meals provided, flights paid for etc etc
