Showing love and respect to your baby like they are human not an animal to boss around
Setting clear boundaries and sticking to them so you don’t need to shout to get small children to do something,
Presenting a ultimatum but not a threatening one, such as telling them the consequences if they touch something hot, or run off without you.
Not moving the goal posts, and confusing the child what you want them to do.
Showing them how we should be treating each other so when they get into the big world they will know respect for others and not accept anything less for themself
They will have :
Less self doubt
Most self esteem
Trust in themselves
Saying sorry and thank you when appropriate to show your child you respect them and they are of value and important
Saying positive words often, lots of positive praise when they are doing something kind and caring
Allowed to do dangerous things carefully to develop vital life skills in a safe way, crawling up stairs, playing with scissors.
Giving them the attention they need which can often be a lot! So they don’t have to miss behave to get attention.
You can learn more about being a gentle parent on our App ✨Link in the bio ✨

“What if I am at home and I go into Labour and I am in pain before 4cm ? “
This is a great question I have been asked recently and the answer is this:
Hospitals won’t generally admit you into the Labour ward if you are under 4cm dilated as this is what they class as in ACTIVE Labour, unless your waters break and you need assistance,
But the good news is if your Labour is beginning at home they will begin slow and steady and completely manageable, you can do some of your own relaxation techniques to get you to 4cm’s with very little pain.
Our body produces natural endorphins which are natural pain relievers and if you contracts start as they are meant to slow and steady the endorphins build up at the same time to mask the sensation of Labour.
You can take paracetamols if you feel it’s uncomfortable but the best thing you can do is get comfy, breathe and relax your mind.
If you would like to know more pain management techniques for Labour take a look at our Baby Ed App !
