For the 3rd year running, I am proud to present the ideas and the final painting for this years Charity art auction with Fieldings Auctioneers & Doves For Peace 5, raising money for War Child UK
Our painting is Called 'Doves in Colour'.
A collaboration painting between myself Celia Martine Pickering and my 6 students:
Lily age 6
Samuel age 10
Eloise age 9
Tani age 11
Sabhya age 10
Ivan age 10
Alongside my incredible students, I’ve embarked on a unique collaborative journey. Each time, over a few weeks, we sit down together to discuss, sketch, learn, and dream up ideas always considering 'Doves' and of course my love of circles and flowers. From there, I take a section of each student's unique artwork, weaving them together into a large, harmonious drawing on rag cotton paper.
The magic then continues in stages:
• The Foundation: My students step up to paint the first vibrant layer.
• The Finishes: I step in to refine the details, the edges, and add the final layers to bring the entire piece to life.
The result? Two breathtaking, deeply meaningful paintings born from a shared love of creativity, mentorship, and community—completely prepped and ready to head off to auction!
