So, one of the examiners does some work for an IELTS/TOEFL prep school in Japan and sent this through for prospective IELTS candidates. It's good advice.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆?

This can be the difference between you going into the IELTS exam and doing it once, or having to do it again or the OneSkill retake.
Firstly, we need to look at who can give you accurate scores.

1. IELTS writing examiners. Yes. They don’t work for free though.
2. AI. Free but certainly not accurate.
3. Your English teacher. If they don’t know about IELTS then they cannot (and should not) give you band scores as they don’t understand how to use them.
4. English speakers. They will have no idea about IELTS.

It is pretty clear that if you want your IELTS writing assessed accurately, then you need an IELTS writing examiner.

𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿?

As far as we know, there are two places.
1. www.upmyielts.com/shop and it will cost you 23GBP (30USD) for a full assessment of a Task 1 and Task 2 by an IELTS examiner.
2. IELTS Advantage. and it will cost you about 43GBP (59USD) for a full assessment of a Task 1 and Task 2.

A lot of people come to us after using IELTS writing services for 2-5 USD and then book an exam based on the feedback, usually because they have been given the score they need. Then they are surprised when they get their results and get much much lower. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱. These companies are stealing people’s money and advising on IELTS when they have no idea what IELTS is. They also make IELTS richer and this is one of the reasons so many people complain about IELTS writing.

This is a really common problem but the solution is very simple!!
This person is really struggling with IELTS writing and has already probably spent 7-800 USD on the exam and preparing for it.
