We at Cuddly Bear DayCare recognise the hard work of a great early years professional and try hard to make our settings great places of work. You have to love this age group - they are so special as they learn and develop so much! A nurturing, patient and kind Leader is needed for our lovely team of like-minded and mature individuals.

If you are as curious, playful and creative as our 3 and 4 year olds, you’ll probably be just fine…! You must be able to spark learning and fun in our pre-schoolers, building resilience, kindness and independence as they get school ready.

Both roles require fab understanding of children and colleagues as individuals. Plus warmth, kindness and a learning-mind as we provide as much an enabling environment for our teams as our children.

Macmillan Coffee Morning!
Colleagues ate cake (lots), drank coffee and raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our training day included a big staff meeting with updates, news, safeguarding, health & safety and lots of discussion...followed by EYFS, better observations and effective learning. THEN...embroidery with and Wellness with .
Very productive, lots of fun, we all seemed to enjoy it!

Small actions make big differences.. and Monday’s training day focused not just on what we do in our jobs but our wellness as staff and how we manage stress and mental health.
We loved getting together as a big team, the chill-out and fab embroidery class (thx ) and then a really, REALLY good wellness session delivered by the warm and funny

Cuddly Bear Daycare at Sydenham Hill will eventually be a medium-sized setting, having opened earlier this year. We have a beautiful garden, rooms and a great team of skilled practitioners and staff, who genuinely want the best and try their best. Our people are our everything and a new NURSERY MANAGER is needed to lead, guide and advance us, so that our team’s potential can be fulfilled, and our children continue to be appropriately challenged, learning through play and making the most of their precious early years.

The Nursery Manager opportunity is…; to be an empowering and inspiring EY leader, role model and manager; with solid EYFS experience as a strong Manager or Deputy in a Good or Outstanding inclusive setting; to continue the trusting and individual relationships we already have in our team, developing staff professionally as we expand; to embed best practice with a rich and fun learning environment, all of which is evidenced and substantiated by the paperwork.

Pre-schoolers built a balancing, 'walk-the-plank', jumping course today. They took the initiative to make it bigger as more children joined in. Some wanted to hold an adult's hand to walk the plank...and then they were off!

You might have noticed this evening, we are developing our garden at Sydenham Park; children seemed to really enjoy it this afternoon! Work in progress!

In our 6 years at Sydenham Park, our nursery has achieved an Outstanding Ofsted rating, 5 consecutive 5-star Food & Hygiene ratings and an enviable reputation amongst our local families.
