An amazing week here Stanmore. Amazing group members. Fantastic new addition to the team aswell as some well loved longer term team members. Finished the week with a massive clearout clean and restock of the biggest store cupboard which took hours but was long over due and very rewarding to get Finished properly xx

Tribute to Alex Winstanley, 1983 - 2025 Dedicated to the memory of Alex Winstanley

This week our profession has lost an outstanding practitioner. After a short illness Alex Winstanley has passed away. Alex was an amazing force of nature who inspired positivity and self belief into so many students during her time working on the BOA Casting Course at Stanmore. Students and staff alike loved all that she was and everything she gave to us as people and professionals. Our thoughts and hearts are with her family especially her husband and 3 children.xx

My Stanmore life changes this week again as we say good bye and happy retirement to my favourite and most loyal maintainance man.
This poor man has had me ring him at 2am, he has knocked down walls for me and pulled up floors, he has turn many a blind eye to my antics and seen/Facilitated more drunken student stories in the social club than a few. 18 years he has put up with me and my brood 🥰 he has saved my neck and covered my back more times than I care to remembered.

September 2025 - Casting Course 3 The British Casting Certificate course and examination is validated by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the Association of Orthopaedic Practitioners (AOP).

There is 1 remaining place on the full 6weeks course due to start in May. All applications must be in before Monday 7th of April, and must meet the criteria specified on the website
