The KCL Bar & Mooting Society aims to equip students with the relevant skills to successfully pursue a career in law, by providing mooting and advocacy training, networking opportunities with chambers and law firms, tailored support for (mini-)pupillages and the Bar Professional Training Course, as well as access to exclusive events organised by the Inns of Court. The King’s College London Jessup Coaching Team is calling for bright, committed students to join the King’s team in the most prestigious moot court competition in the world. No prior experience needed, just potential and passion.
Receive academic credit (15 credits) + expert coaching in advocacy, drafting & research. King’s is the most successful UK law school in Jessup history.
This year’s problem tackles: 1️⃣ allegations of gender apartheid; 2️⃣ State responses to a mass influx of migrants seeking asylum; 3️⃣ sanction designations generated by artificial intelligence; and all of this in the wake of 4️⃣ a coup d’etat, resulting in a government whose status within the international community remains contested.

KCLBMS is excited to launch our Marshalling Scheme at Taylor House Tribunal Hearing Centre - an opportunity to gain real insight into how the law operates in practice, sit in on hearings, and speak directly with judges.

We know the turnaround is tight, so please don’t worry about submitting a “perfect” application - we will absolutely take the short timeframe into account when reviewing.
