All over the news today!
GCSE in British Sign Language available from September 2025 🙌👌👏
We met Santa and of course had to ask him to sign something for us!
Here is Santa saying Happy New Year to you all!! He was genuinely so excited and keen to learn - I find that a lot with sign language. People REALLY want to learn. I wonder if maybe they haven’t come across the opportunity or known where to start?? Which is why starting in nursery and in schools and having a GCSE option is so exciting!

Look at this bean, she is doing great! But she has picked up Lyme’s Disease from a tick bite 😔 Luckily we caught it really early and she’s on a course of antibiotics now. The Doctor said if she finishes the courses then there shouldn’t be any long term complications for her. I’m only mentioning it now because quite a few people I’ve chatted to about it over the last few days hadn’t heard of it. So incase you hadn’t, it is something worth knowing about as, it is totally, totally treatable but the sooner you get antibiotics the better for them the better ❤️
Etta had a red spot on her tummy which over the course of 12 hours got a big red rash around it - it looks a bit odd as it has a deeper red circle around the outside (almost like a bullseye 🎯) If you’re not sure then definitely speak to the GP - ours was SO brilliant and I am so so so in awe of what antibiotics can do!
Hope this doesn’t come across as dramatic or preachy - I just keep worrying about what would have happened if I’d ignored it so wanted to flag it!
P.S. I’m going to turn off comments because I still get a bit worried about reading things (which is a bit of a hangover from post natal anxiety I think!) # #
