All over the news today!

GCSE in British Sign Language available from September 2025 🙌👌👏

We met Santa and of course had to ask him to sign something for us!

Here is Santa saying Happy New Year to you all!! He was genuinely so excited and keen to learn - I find that a lot with sign language. People REALLY want to learn. I wonder if maybe they haven’t come across the opportunity or known where to start?? Which is why starting in nursery and in schools and having a GCSE option is so exciting!

I’m excited to see where Baby Sign TV goes in 2024. Thank you all for welcoming me back so warmly! 🥰😘🥰

There are Christmas songs, stories and signs on the Baby Sign TV Christmas Playlist!

Look at this bean, she is doing great! But she has picked up Lyme’s Disease from a tick bite 😔 Luckily we caught it really early and she’s on a course of antibiotics now. The Doctor said if she finishes the courses then there shouldn’t be any long term complications for her. I’m only mentioning it now because quite a few people I’ve chatted to about it over the last few days hadn’t heard of it. So incase you hadn’t, it is something worth knowing about as, it is totally, totally treatable but the sooner you get antibiotics the better for them the better ❤️

Etta had a red spot on her tummy which over the course of 12 hours got a big red rash around it - it looks a bit odd as it has a deeper red circle around the outside (almost like a bullseye 🎯) If you’re not sure then definitely speak to the GP - ours was SO brilliant and I am so so so in awe of what antibiotics can do!

Hope this doesn’t come across as dramatic or preachy - I just keep worrying about what would have happened if I’d ignored it so wanted to flag it!

P.S. I’m going to turn off comments because I still get a bit worried about reading things (which is a bit of a hangover from post natal anxiety I think!) ###xx

AD - We’re really lucky to have been given some beautiful toys from .design - We are loving playing with them and incorporating some signs!

Head to my stories later today to see Etta showing you the signs for all the family members of these beautiful dolls!

I’ll be showing you some more of our favourites from .design over the next few weeks. What I love about this company is that everything is created with the planet in mind - so, they only work with reclaimed rubberwood (a by-product of the latex industry) AND they support the Eden Project in the UK which means they plant 10 trees for every single order they get 🌳 💗 🌍

In fact, the toys they sell have been awarded the ICTI Ethical Toy Program seal of approval!

The toys are made to last and to be handed down from generation to generation. We hope you love them as much as us! They have very kindly given me a discount code to share with you. Pop in BABYSIGN10 for 10% off your first order.

Let me know if you need any signs to use whilst playing with them and Etta and I will happily show you!
