Virtual reality for myopia control? A promising early trial, with important questions still to answer.

JAMA Ophthalmology , 27 August 2026 | Small, unmasked RCT
In 120 children aged 6–12, 15 minutes of daily home-based VR training alongside single-vision spectacles produced slightly less axial elongation and refractive progression over six months than spectacles alone. No training-related adverse events were observed.
