I have a BA (hons) in Musicianship, Popular Music Performance and Songwriting. I teach all ages but only work with serious vocalists and musicians with talent. I cannot teach you how to sing if you cannot already hold a note. I'm sorry, I'm sure there are other teachers that would love to and I can point you in the right direction. This might seem harsh, but my time is important to me. I will not
spend an hour or two teaching somebody like this. At your consultation you'll be asked to sing a song of your choice. If I don't want to work to with you, please respect that. I won't be mean! I'll just suggest something else. I also teach beginner guitar, piano and music software classes using such as Logic X Pro and Ableton. I also teach sight reading - you can choose this as a stand alone course but it’s also a part of vocal training. I have experience touring, recording and marketing music. I still record and tour with my own band. I am also qualified to teach Alexandra Technique for performing artists, I specialise in Stage Fright and anxiety solutions. If you’re an over seas student I offer Skype lessons. If you’re looking for audition preparation I do this too, however I am not an 'on call' teacher. I love to support you and wish you well but calling me 10 minutes before a live show to get some last minute advice is not something I can do. My lessons are open ended and depend on what it is you’re looking for. Even when you’re selling out stadiums, you still need a vocal coach! I teach at the Sylvia Young theatre school here in London, and have access to recording studios and rehearsal space. If you think your child is talented and you're not sure what to do about it, bring them to me! If you're struggling to hit the high notes or belt a song, give me a call! If you're a session musician and don't know how to sight read, I'm here! If you want to learn piano or guitar, call me! If you want to write your own songs but you don't know where to start, you know what to do. My lessons are free to anyone that does not have the means to fund private lessons. I'll need proof if you're on certain benefits and I'll only do this if I can see you or your child are serious about music and have some talent. My time is very important to me, if for what ever reason you need to cancel a session with me, I will charge if you don’t give me at least 24 hours notice. I have a lot of students, and it’s not fair to them when somebody cancels because said students could have had that hour or two with me. So please be mindful of my time, that’s all I ask.
